The current Governer of Kerala State, India. Former Governor of Bihar State & Himachal Pradesh State, India. Our respected governor was born on 23 April 1954. His birthplace is the capital of Goa, Panaji. He was an ideal son to his father, Late Shri Vishwanath Arlekar, and mother, Late. Smt. Tilomattama Arlekar. As of now, he is married to Mrs. Anagha Arlekar and has two children. He has one daughter, Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, and one son, Mr. Amogh Arlekar. His teachers and professors remember him as a very bright student during his schooling and college days. He completed his matriculation from St. Joseph’s institute, Vasco Da Gama, Goa. Furthermore, he was interested in commerce, which made him pursue and graduate with B.Com. He completed and received his degree from MES college, Vasco Da Gama, Goa. It was all about his background before he stepped into the field of politics. Not many people know that Mr. Arlekar was associated with the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) since childhood. Later on, as he discovered his interest in politics, he thought of joining BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in 1989. He was only 35 years old back then when he took this decision. At that time, he had no post or much power to hold on to, but that did not make him stop from providing his services to people.
